Roe deer

In the woods just before we arrived back at the campervan today, this beautiful Roe Deer appeared long enough for me to get a shot.
Another big walk for us today. 750 metres of up/down and 14 km. The scenery was stunning as we made our way up from Bai de Done to the Refugio Nuvolau and returned by a different route. The descent brought us out above the Cinque Torri that we walked around yesterday. On the way up we passed fields of Spotted Orchids and then, a bit higher, lots of flowering rhododendrons.

The extras show Lake Limedes passed on our way up and one of the other rock faces that we passed.

Tonight we are camped on the Falzarego Pass ready for an early start to walk up through the Lagazuoi Tunnels. We’ve brought climbing helmets and head torches just for this.
