MonoMonday: Weathered

On the way from my Monday morning "Grumpy Old Mens' Coffee Session" to my Eye Clinic check following laser treatment to a retinal tear 10 days ago (all well), my route took me past this old weathered fountain - very handy for today's MM challenge hosted by Nickimags888.

It's so weathered that you can't read all the inscription but it seems it was gifted to the City of Newcastle upon Tyne, I think in 1888, "by Miss Caroline Sophia Russell Colvill in loving...something...of her brother the late Edwin Dodd Colville who for upwards of...xx...years well and honourably known in Newcastle...". So probably a great man!
