Admiring The Burne-Jones
We had an excursion to Falmouth today as mrsfb wanted to see an exhibition there - The Legend Of King Arthur - A Pre-Raphaelite Love Story. It was excellent, and free too. We did try to make a donation but the card payment thingy just wasn't working. We bought a £20 guide book instead.
The main blip shows mrsfb admiring one of the Holy Grail Tapestries - The Arming And Departure Of The Knights Of The Round Table On The Quest For The Holy Grail. I was mainly trying to get a shot with the blase attendant in the corner. Getting mrsfb in the shot too was an added bonus.
There were lots of amazing paintings in the exhibition, many of which we love and have copies of on our walls at home.
A few images from our walk around Falmouth in the extras.
We had a holiday in Falmouth many years ago. I didn't remember it at all though. We spent ages driving around the centre as the signs said the car park we were planning to use was full. In the end we tried it anyway and there were loads of spaces. I think they just say it is full to encourage people to use the park and ride and not drive into the centre. There were loads of spaces in the harbour car park too, but no idea how you would actually find that as there were no direction signs anywhere.
The traffic coming back to Fowey was awful, we got held up for ages going through Truro, it must have been the Cornish rush hour.
