Longshadows
You have to be patient in this photography game. I took a pic of a wet rose in the rain through the kitchen window this morning, thinking that would be my blip. No way were we going to get shadows for Wide Wednesday today. I didn't have time to post before we popped out to the Historical Society talk this evening, The Gloucestershire Mummy (which it turns out is in Liverpool now). And on the way there, lo and behold, I got our shadows, at 7:30 in the evening.
In other news we have been getting ready for the big day tomorrow. Yes, it's the first full recycling day in our newly changed bin collection calendar.
There is something else on too, actually in the same building you can see at the top of my blip, after it has been transformed overnight into our polling station. We haven't had a single visit from any of the candidates in our area. I sent them all a Crisis generated email about homelessness. Labour replied immediately, the Greens a few days later, then the Lib Dems. Nothing at all from Reform or the Conservatives. I expect the latter will win our seat again, but I live in hope.
In other other news I watched my team (Somerset) thrash mrsfb's team (Warwickshire) in the cricket, via the wonders of YouTube.
