Prep work done

Took Darwin for a walk around the roads first thing as J went to fly ball training with Kilda. Back was sore after all the bending yesterday while painting. Managed to get all the woodwork sanded ready for painting next weekend and some shelves up while listening to the Aussies cheat at cricket in the last day of the second test. Caught up on some blips in the afternoon and a few other things while waiting for J to come back with the car. Went down to Portie with Darwin to do some man trailing. He was good on the first 2 short runs as we didn’t go anywhere near the beach. His next run was a delayed start with the person going off 5 minutes before he got out the car and leaving their scent article in the hedge. He found the trail really well until we came to the beach and that was it, the sight of the sea was too much and he forgot about finding his person. We got there in the end but he wasn’t interested in the treats either. His last run was along the prom a bit and up one of the side streets, once we were off the prom his brain switched into sniffing mode and he found his person with no issues. Headed back early as my back was sore by then and I wanted to watch the race and get an early night.
