A Day in Bed, 75 Years of the NHS and a Visit
Today, I have spent the day in bed recovering from yesterday. Mostly guilt free.
I had an email which I only had time to read at half nine last night due to having had such a busy day yesterday.
I’m not happy about it but will fight on. I’ll tell you more about it in the coming days as it’s late as I write this.
I was annoyed with myself today as I remembered and then forgot to reschedule a (non-medical) appointment but had a lovely email and will reschedule as soon as possible.
I didn’t manage to meet one of my best friends, Rosie. Fatigue is frustrating! Thankfully, Rosie has similar health issues and she is very understanding. We will meet up as soon as we both feel more rested.
Life is busy (even without chronic illnesses) but I try my best to be productive as opposed to busy as I think it’s a better approach. My diary for the next couple of months is packed but I am taking a deep breath and taking each one as it comes rather than trying to think too far forward.
Had a lunchtime visitor - my nearby neighbour’s tomcat who I’ve Blipped before. He’s on a diet so I no longer give him the odd Dreamie as a treat. He loves his food! I can relate… :)
Very loving and affectionate - he’s hypoallergenic too as I’m not allergic to him.
Watched an engrossing documentary this evening called Florence Nightingale : Nursing Pioneer. I highly recommend it.
Today marks the 75th anniversary of the NHS. We will have to fight for the next 75 years, I think!
Hope you’ve all had a wonderful Wednesday, thanks as ever for all your kind comments, stars and comments :) xx
