July 5
A begonia in one of my planters.
What a day!
I got up this morning, it wasn't raining and I thought the forecast called for showers ending. An hour later, it is raining hard. I check the radar and it has the rain moving out between 10 and 11. So I message everyone to say it will be a late start. Then one worker has her car break down and another one is sick. That left 4 of us to work, but that was alright, I only had 2 places scheduled.
When I came home this afternoon, I'm not sure where it was, but as I opened the door a snake dropped from somewhere and got into the house. It quickly went into the closet. I went out and grabbed my garden fork, hoping I could get it to curl around that so I could get it outside again. I carefully started removing things from the closet and found it in the corner. He came out and I was able to stop it with my foot so it couldn't get further into the house. Plus by this time Peaches was there wondering what I was doing. I had left the door open a couple of inches and didn't want her to get outside. I opened the door a little more and was able to push the snake toward the door, and he wasn't long leaving. Hopefully he will go somewhere far away to look for a new home. It's a good thing I am not scared of snakes, but I don't like touching them.
