Camera Shy

During our walk on the Green this afternoon I saw several different types of butterfly flitting high and low around the brambles at the edge of the Green, which are already starting to show signs of a few ripening blackberries. I also spotted a dragonfly zooming across the tops of the tall grasses in the centre of the Green. 

Only a meadow brown and a green-veined white stayed still long enough for me to grab a photo, though, and I chose the meadow brown for today’s blip.
