Mundrabilla to Penong
We travelled through 2 time zones over the last two days so still adjusting to time. It’s 6am but I’m still on 4.30am time. Ouch. No wifi so this is a backblip for Thursday.
We had a very windy night and someone said they needed to carry around a brick so they didn’t get blown away. We had the wind behind us for the first 2 hundred kilometres which was really great driving conditions. We stopped at the Head of the Bight which is a tourist attraction with new buildings and cafe and boardwalks to whale viewing platforms. No whales were seen. We then continued onto Penong in SA. The first town for over 1000km. There is no water or toilet dump sites so you have to plan your trip. There are quarantine stations so I have just left a few things I can’t keep which other people can use if they are travelling in the opposite direction.
Penong has a windmill museum so I wandered over to check it out. This area is the start of the agricultural region after travelling through desert.
Back blips for the last few days have been added.
