WHY?

Just for the record.
Some time ago, I can't even remember if it was AA or BA (After Al, Before Al) I lost/mislaid my QR Plate.  I sent for one - Got it - returned it -was credited; despite the fact that I re-measured The Tripod top, Gave Brand & Model number & photo(s).
     Before I either had another attempt or shot off to Carlisle with the top Jerra discovered that his fit my Tripod - RESULT!
My memory, being senile from about age 20, finds it decidedly advantageous to record when things happen, like the fitted Kitchen, Loft/Bedroom conversion, etc.
