Something completely different!

The morning started calm and sunny with a walk in the meadow with Merlin. Then we packed the car and headed off on a wee break - to the Essex coast. There is little option from where we live other than travel via the M25 to this destination and so on our journey we soon ran into long delays, first roadworks and then at the Dartford Tunnel. A journey which could be done in 2.5 hours took 5 hours! But we arrived safe and sound, and Merlin coped well with being cooped up for so long.

This place is our residence for a few days, a holiday accommodation adjoining a restored radar tower! The views across the coast stretch far and wide, with boats and birds aplenty. I’ll report back once I’ve done some exploring.
