Another Heart
This morning I cracked on with laundry first thing. The main reason being that Wigan Warriors managed to lose by Golden Point to Wakefield - arguably the worst team in the league. It is our tradition/superstition to wash our shirts when they lose, and only then!
It's a good thing they were washed and on the line early so that it was mostly dry by the time it started raining late morning.
We had a full on thunderstorm but it has done nothing to reduce the humidity, in fact it it felt positively steamy after lunch when I went to visit my dad.
He was sitting downstairs in the lounge today . He'd met and stroked the home's sweet little pet rabbit, Ralphie which had made him happy. He's been a bit more mobile today but he still cannot get out of a chair unaided. Once he's up he can walk short distances with his walking frame though he still becomes tired very quickly.
Still his hand is a problem. He took the last antibiotic tablet today and the hand is still swollen and to painful to use. He did land on it when he fell which won't have helped...
On the way home I picked up a bit of shopping and went to photograph this sculpture on Lincoln's latest art trail. The colours and patterns of this one out my favourite so far.
And now I can relax!
