An odd blip for Ruth's Birthday, given that she was there too.  I blame the photographer .... plus Ruth wasn't on horseback!

It's been really nice having Ruth here this week, her health so much better than when she was here last winter.  We've been out more in a few days than in six weeks last time she came.  This morning it was for the Merioneth Special Riding Group summer carnival day, a fun fundraiser for a very special organisation.  From there we went to Kings Cafe at the railway for lunch with my Mum and Chris, great to have three generations of the family together.   We all retired for a siesta which in mine and Ruth's used up the rest of the afternoon.

Later, after hot dogs for tea at Ruth's request - we'd sniffed the scent of them at riding earlier - we went over to Jamie's and shared some of the luxury chocolate and raspberry cheesecake he had made to celebrate Ruth's birthday.  Some was taken round for Mum and Chris where we stopped for a natter.  As dusk descended I took Meg out to Rhydyronen where we stayed until it was dark while Ruth took Timmy cat for an explore outside my place.  A happy birthday :-)
