Saturday: Visitor

I am pleased to announce that I have now tested negative for Covid.  I’m much better so, all in all, feel very lucky to have got off lightly.  I’ve still got a bit of a cough and my energy levels remain a bit depleted so we opted for a day at home.

These large moths are all over the place at the moment.  Apparently, they’re meant to bring luck.  Honestly, though, I really am the worst person to introduce you to Belize wildlife.  I have no idea what this is, or what it’s called.  I’d say it’s about 8 inches in diameter but that’s about all I can tell you.

I finished an excellent book today which I can’t recommend highly enough: ‘Stolen Focus - Why You Can’t Pay Attention’ by Johann Hari.  It’s incredibly thought provoking and makes the case for how our ability to focus and concentrate is being very systematically eroded by larger external influences.
