Double Shot Mummy

Helping with the shopping

We miss the double trolleys they had in the UK! I have only ever seen one twin one in Dubai, and it had two baby seats in. There was a fight for the seat, but we managed to negotiate that Bailee would have the important job of placing the groceries in the trolley. I know this isn't particularly safe. Bailee listened very well to my "Trolley safety lecture" and stayed sitting the whole time.

There was no vomiting or diarrhoea today. I didn't send them to nursery initially thinking it would be nice for them both to have a lazy day at home. At about 9am Oscar pleaded with me to go. Considering he hadn't had any v or d for more than 24 hours I took him for a short morning. It was strange dropping him off without Bailee, but it is important as a twin mum to respect their individuality. He enjoyed his time but apparently seemed a bit lost... I guess he has rarely been away from everyone in the family, (Especially Bailee). I can only remember one other time when we were in New Zealand and he had a night with Nanny and Pop. All and all, they both coped well.

In the afternoon we got the paint out and did hand prints and painted their ceramic money boxes, (Bailee's cat and Oscar's frog). They are both very protective over their money boxes and are saving up to buy an ice-cream, (Mango for Oscar and "Na-nilla" for Bailee).

There was one 'melt your heart' moment when Oscar said he was going to "Give it to mummy", when he had saved up enough money for a blueberry ice-cream.
