Sao Jorge - North

Today was an optional walk, and 6 of us set off, without the guide but with good instructions, maps & GPS tracking. 

Guide Tania: “you must do the detour to the high point and see 5 islands!” We did the detour, misty, saw very little, had a laugh then did a precarious descent to carry on the walk. 

Hydrangeas, cows, coastal views and ended up at a natural swimming pool 20k later, with no time to even dangle hot tootsies! 

A great walk, enjoyed a huge glass of rose (G - ice cold beer) on return … glowing & happy.
