Fossils under foot .

When the town centre was redone a few years ago someone had the wonderful idea of paving tiles made from fossiliferous rock , Shelly limestone at a guess . It’s so lovely and I spend time looking at them whenever I pass by. I suspect the fossils are of stems of Crinoids that are ancient sea creatures.
They are quite plant like but are still around today , in the Red Sea , and are definitely part of the animal kingdom. I had a few errands to run which included dropping off 3 bags at the charity shop .

Bramble has eaten a bit today which is a good sign but still not herself however each time she hears the crinkle and crackle of a food wrapper she comes running !

I have finally completed the “clothes moth eviction , “ all my clothes have been washed in conker solution ( moths stay away from conkers) which I hope will put them off , the wardrobes have been spring cleaned and my newly made lavender bags installed ( clothes moths also dislike the scent of lavender) I am delighted to think that I shall be smelling its glorious scent each time I change my clothes.

In other news, I came across an article which may be of interest to blippers who reside in England and Wales , rights of way for ramblers are being lost at quite a rate and the government have decided that after 2026 those lost will no longer be eligible to be re registered .I will share the link in case anyone is interested.

And now to walk the hound in the evening sunshine .
