This ...........

 ........... was my trip route after dropping pipersmom off at Boston Logan airport at the unearthly hour of 05.45 back on 30th June ...........

Boston MA to the New London CT ferry for Long Island.
Orient Point to Freeport NY via a scenic route (which I missed off the map - oops) involving two (very much) smaller ferries.

Freeport to Stehli Beach - again a scenic, rather than a direct, route.

Stehli Beach to Hartford Connecticut via the "edges" of New York City.

Hartford CT to Brattleboro Vermont (via Hwy 5 rather than the freeway).

Brattleboro VT to Winthrop Massachusetts - virtually all the way in the pouring rain .......... again using hwys (2 & 3) rather than freeways.

Winthrop to Boston Logan airport where I started 5 days ago (and 14 days ago!).

Approx. 650 miles taking into account the scenic routes, three ferries and the roof down most of the way.
