Fancy a scrub?
What a beautiful day it was today for my return to Brum. Even though I was sadder than usual to be leaving this time around, I was almost skipping up Miller Road towards Ayr Station. You can't be melancholy when the sun is shining and the breeze is so gentle your skin almost tickles as it passes by.
Even having to get off my train at Kilwinning to get on a very full up replacement bus (due to track maintenance) didn't bother me much. You get to see little places like Johnstone and peer in different windows as you trundle by. It was a bit long winded and I was glad to get off at Paisley Gilmour Street for some air. A few helpful transport staff were on hand to help me haul my little case wobbling down the coach steps on my spindly legs with laptop bag balancing me on the other side. They were directing people onto different buses heading back to Ayr on that bit of track under maintenance. I stood with them waiting for my 66 to the airport savouring my salted caramels and thinking of other things.
An old drunk/'Care in the Community' case wandered up to me yelling at one point first telling me what a nice day it was (I stupidly agreed and smiled) and then he told me I was a terrible nurse and didn't even give a good bollock scrub in the mornings! Apologies for the language there but they weren't my words! The transport men saved me and pushed him up the road and then we all had a laugh for a minute until my bus arrived.
Once at the airport and through security I sprayed myself with JPG - it was closest - to drown the 'Essence of Mad Piss Stinking Tramp'. The lady behind the counter told me I was using the men's fragrances with a snooty voice and expression asking if I'd like to try something else. 'Yes please. Dior Addict as I only have two thirds of a bottle left.' She wasn't too pleased but hey ho I was smiling, and stocked up! ;-)
Back in Brum now. I won't drone on. The picture is of my Paisley Gilmour Street saviours. Track? - AC/DC tonight - Whole Lotta Rosie
