A Good Day to be a Lum

Yet again I was pressed into service by CM Taxis.  I picked up a package (as usual in a fetching peely-wally lemon jacketette) from the Stromness Pierhead.  We drove down to the ‘Hope.  Our native guide was the Current Mrs. Creel – for she wanted to see Audrey’s exhibition in the Gallery.  As I waited outside Anne and Peedie Don went in – over from Longhope.
 
Later, in the eaterie that is Polly Kettle, we happened to meet Pete and Rick.  Only yesterday, Rick (who we had never met before) had just completed cycling from Land’s End to John o’ Groats.  We bought him a cupcake.
 
Later, back at base. I sanded inside the Bothy windows – I know how to have a good time.
