An apple a day...

doesn't keep the doctor away.

D phoned the health centre just after 8am and got an appointment for Alan at 12.25pm.  Doc sounded his chest and thinks he might have bronchitis.  He's prescribed an antibiotic.  He also tried to take blood but Alan was not in the mood to sit still and have a needle in his arm so after a couple of attempts the Doc gave up.   He's usually really good at getting blood taken but clearly wasn't in the mood today.  If no improvement by the middle of next week we've to make another appointment.  

When he got back he watched tv for a while then decided he wanted to watch films in his bed.  He had a snooze then watched two films and was a bit more cheerful by this evening, but opted still to stay in bed.  Think he was comfy.

Meanwhile I made toffee apple crumble for tomorrow and made the marinade for the sticky Asian salmon and got the salmon prepped with it and back in the fridge.  Also prepared some of the salad ingredients for the Asian salad and grapes and celery for the cheese board.   Table is set and serving dishes looked out.  I think I'm as organised as I can be. 

Just hoping my boy feels a bit better tomorrow.
