July 14
Another hot day so I decided to stop and get a burger and a milkshake for supper and sit by the ocean to eat it. After I finished eating I walked around the boardwalk to see the progress on Jake the Snake. There are almost 1100 painted rocks there now. There is a competition with another group in New Brunswick that is doing a painted rock snake too.
Another happy customer today. On Tuesday we pulled some ivy down, it was covering half of the end of his house and it was starting to grow around the corner to cover a window, and it was growing under some siding and into the soffits.
In the back yard there was one are full of weeds, I said we could get it whipper snipped down and cover it with tarps, then mulch. That got done today. He said he knew it would cost more, but there were a couple of other areas he wanted weeded. There were a lot of weeds under the kids playset and some rosa multiflora behind it. The kids could barely get in there. Now that has all been cleared, so they can play out there again. We also weeded the front garden. I suspect that they are going to have us back on a regular basis to help keep things under control.
