Spear thistle

Of the most common sort, Cirsium vulgare. Spotted as I was finding a few raspberries in a wild patch in Queen St gardens.

Wet on and off during the day. Short walk along George St and Rose St, then back by the gardens. 

Next Tuesday, the 18th, is Third Tuesday. Anyone up for a blipmeet at 10.15 at the East gate of the Botanics ?
