Today's the day ....................... to cancel

Well, I was going to be very busy today - a stint at the Walking Football stand at the Kirkcudbright Country Fair, trying to drum up support for the gentle game and hopefully persuade a few more people to sign up.  Then, a couple of hours on the gate, collecting entrance fees from the punters as they came in.

But the weather here last night was stormy (to put it mildly) and apparently the Food Tent blew away into the next field.  There was other damage too and so the organisers, very reluctantly had to call the whole thing off.  So that's how I found myself with unexpected time on my hands - and how the oven came to be clean.  

Of course, that really does it by itself so there was also time to watch today's stage of Le Tour live - a real sign of having time to indulge oneself ....................!
