Garden Party

Today's the day ...................... to carry on regardless

You were unlucky if you had planned an outdoor event round here, for this particular weekend.

I'm sure that many things will have had to be cancelled at the last minute - like the Kirkcudbright Country Fair  that we were going to yesterday  The one above, planned for this afternoon, went ahead.  But instead of being out in the garden, it was moved indoors into the comfortable (and dry) location of Broughton House  itself.

We listened to good music and singing, ate cake and raised our glasses to toast Edward Atkinson Hornel (known to his friends as Ned) and to wish him a (theoretical) Happy 159th Birthday .......................!
