SCOTTISH BLACKFACE SHEEP

There was a field of these sheep next to Glenluce Abbey, a ruined Cistercian abbey I went to look at hoping to get round it before the rain came in. I failed on two counts - the Abbey ruins were fenced off because they're in the process of being surveyed and consolidated to make them safe again. The sheep looked as though they thought I should have known that. And also the rain had started, so I went back and joined B at the cottage (I'd dropped him off so that he could start sampling the purchase he made at a distillery during the morning) and we got on with packing for home while the rain hammered down for the rest of the afternoon and night.
