Old friends

It's late, and everyone has gone to bed, so I need to make this brief.

It has been a lovely day of friends being reunited over a few beers, a few photo albums and lots of laughter. Beautifully hosted by Andy and Polly at their beautiful home in the Hertfordshire countryside just outside Buntingford. Jon brought the hanging tripod fire and barbeque to cook dinner, we sang camp fire songs, and generally reminisced about old times.

So lovely to see Lynn, Isabel and Martin who have now headed home, and Cathy, Sarah and Roy who are camping over in Polly and Andy's garden with us tonight. We were all venture scouts together in the 1980s in Hoddesdon, and have been trying to have a reunion for the last 3 years. Last year Cathy and Andy couldn't make it, so it was great that this year we all made it.

We are so grateful for the lovely loyal friends we made all those years ago, and cherish days like today when we can all get together.
