bug day

terrible day for trying to get a butterfly photo but the bees and bugs were very cooperative. this is a perplexing bumblebee- i love the name.
the extra is a yellow banded bumblebee and also a square headed wasp - very small compared to what we usually think of as a wasp. the other extra is actually a back blip from the camera that I finally id's and it is a viceroy butterfly caterpillar. i was thrilled  to have seen that.
