Time out

After ticking off lots of jobs in the morning, I took time out with Nick and Bertie to meet up with friends D and L at Calgary Arts cafe for coffee and cake. We then had a stroll through the woods down to the beach where we found these beautiful flowers growing along the high tide mark. I have no idea what they are. Sadly, a heavy shower forced us to beat a hasty retreat back to the car so we had to continue our catch-up back at home.
