I don't know if the buddleia sent out a bat/butterfly signal this morning, but the one in the front garden has been alive all day with butterflies and I couldn't be happier!  4 different species in all - small tortoiseshell, red admiral, peacock and gatekeeper - and about 20 of them all at one point and it's made me very pleased to have planted for wildlife!  Had to take this one from my bedroom window as a lot of them were on the top of the plant - must cut it down more next year to get the flowers lower down!!

And it's been a non stop day here - we were due to have someone from the guttering people arrive between 9 and 12 to look at a leak, a knock on the door at 8.30 and he'd shown up early!! So he thinks he's solved the problem with some fixing and we just need to check next time we get rain!  

Then it was off running some local errands to tick those jobs off the list, before the tidying up of the driveway began as we had all the pots and baskets still on the floor from having all the work done!
