Tennessee Vacation ...

… First Full Day.

On our first full day of most vacations we like to stay close by our resorts … not travelling long distances.  Today we stuck to tradition.  After a leisurely breakfast we headed out to check out the resort property itself as we have never vacationed here before.

There are several marinas and beaches as well as trails at this resort so we spent a little time exploring these.  The photo in the upper right was taken along Glastowbury trail.  Her owner told us that she brings her to this spot several times a week and the dog has a blast simply frolicking in the water … no sticks are being thrown and retrieved!  How cute is that?!?

We returned to our condo for lunch before heading back out to Cumberland Mountain State Park.  The rest of my pictures were taken here.  We encountered the young family whilst walking along one of the trails here.  They had also seen the turtles see here (bottom middle) but the young girl was having trouble spotting them!  So dad was taking her hand/arm to ‘point’ to them.  Another cute sight for the day!

After leaving Cumberland Mountain SP we returned to Crossville, TN to check out the town and do some shopping for the week.  Our condo has a full kitchen so we needed to buy some groceries for the week. We had dinner at the condo before driving to one of the beaches on site to watch the sunset.

First day done … and it was a fabulous start.
