Not Ginger

Earlier this month, I posted a photo and called it ginger - realized it was actually turmeric thanks to iPhone ID.  Anyway, the flowers are getting better as they mature.  The big heat continues here but we're getting through it.  at a temperature of 97F and 40-something per cent humidity, it doesn't seem so bad but the humidity will be rising and that's when it gets less bearable both from a health standpoint and a pleasure one. The immediate coast is easier and it's 20 minutes away so we often find ourselves venturing to the beach at about 6 p.m. Tonight wasn't too bad and we spent a little time sitting in the yard.
