Pony paths and Franco’s Follies
A long hot day today with two passes - I picnicked on the second and higher one in a lovely spot see main photo. The extra tries to give a flavour of the day which used many old village mule tracks - and yes I met a pony on one. At the physical low point a caffeine high from coffee at a village inn. Then round the lake some of Franco’s gun emplacements from post WW2. An abandoned village, water fountains and the surprise roofscape of the hamlet I’m staying in tonight - all a change of scene from the high peaks.
