Pompeii

Blown away by this place again. Saw bits we (Will and I) didn't find last year, like the villa of mysteries, the amphitheatre, the tower of Mercury and the brothel! Carys loved the whole place. I am glad it didn't disappoint her.

We then had a slow wander around the actual town and found a tiny bar with excellent coffee and excellent muffins according to Carys.

Back in Rome we almost went to see the Colosseum in the dark but the early closure of the Metro system put pay to that. A good reason to come back at some point. We had dinner at a local restaurant near the hotel where the waiter took great pleasure in gently teasing Carys.
