Ousdale Broch

A late afternoon ferry meant that I had time to stop on the way north and visit Ousdale Broch.

Only a couple of km from the road and quite steep but the recent work that’s been done on the path made it easy going. Definitely worth the walk. The Broch itself is interesting and In a fantastic spot. There are several interpretation panels along the path, this area has a lot of interesting history as well as the Iron Age Broch, Viking battles, clearance villages and early 19th century roads.
