Mask Of Zorro

A cedar waxwing suddenly appeared. Such a beautiful bird and in this light I could really appreciate its yellow colouring. Whenever I see one its characteristic black face marking reminds me of a mask. 

The sun, still high at 7pm, produced strong contrasts, but you got to take the shot when you can. I see these birds very infrequently.
