Every hill that you climb

I had to collect Dinesh this morning from his hotel I took the opportunity to stand and gaze at the view.

I wouldn’t do anything if I worked here. I’d be standing at the window gazing out - over to Arran, up and across to the Paps of Jura, up to Largs, Millport and the Cumbraes. Down to Girvan and Stranraer. And on a good day Ireland

I did actually work here for a time …. Silver service when the hotel was another incarnation

I spilt roast gravy and oil down a woman’s silk dress one night and in an effort to save it. Squirted her all over with fairy washing up liquid

I think it must have worked because I wasn’t fired. And when I tried to hand my notice in a month later they tried desperately to talk me out of it
