Some of us love you
I’ve been tres busy today.
I woke at four. Not through choice. I just woke.
Made the mistake of going downstairs for a walk and picking up my phone.
I had a training session today with one of the Indians ; and you know how much I love our India colleagues.
Dinesh was actually quite spectacular. He recognised incompetence immediately and we bonded over a shared snigger of shortcomings.
Then I made lists. I have eleven stickies on my desk which I have to tackle. Additionally my boss came down and gave me some surprising good news.
At which I swore loudly with joy and felt a moments affection.
It swiftly disappeared as I realised the cost of my joy. It’s not a massive overhead and one I will tolerate on behalf of my colleagues.
Then I answered eight queries. I coached our American team through a new process; which also resulted in virtual high fives all over the place.
Then I came home to a lovely dinner and the knowledge I had to make the coconut and gooseberry cake or the gooseberries would be wasted
Si and I sat for forty minute topping and tailing them. Have you ever topped and tailed a gooseberry???
I got all the ingredients out and realised I was short two.
Quick drive to morrison pick up the bit I needed checked the dead flowers (which were mouldy). Checked the dresses (i am currently wearing a morrison dress which cost me £7.50 ). They seem to mark them down after four week. So I am keeping a close eye
tooli was with me so I figured I would show willing and walk. We parked at the banking and did a quick 100 steps to it, 100 steps up it, 50’steps along and quick asthma attack, no inhaler … Sit. Breathe. Be calm. Casual barf. Walk back down
Come home. Make cake
Now I’m sitting in a pleasantly warm garden. Sky turning beautifully pink
The picture? Si’s plums and my clitoris clematis
