Lady in Red

I waited a long time to get this woman where I wanted her, and just then her friend turned back! Ah well.

Off to the palace today for a hike around the extensive gardens. They love neat rows of red flowers and topiary trees surrounded by lawn. Monty however would be horrified at the maintenance of the topiary. It all needed a trim and wasn't nearly as manicured as you may expect.

We left the city after an incredible Lebanese meal- there's only so much sausage you can eat.

Tomorrow leg 2 - Florence awaits. I can feel the heat from here!
