Fun - With Effort

Yet another early start, Ponsharden Boatyard by 8:00am to ready the gig for our day out at Mylor Yacht Clubs ‘Fun Day’. Those of us participating in Septembers Great River Race had offered to act as a ‘delivery crew’ rowing the gig round, good practise for us and the competing crew would be fresh.
It was a 9km row out at a non stop decent pace, the weather was good, what’s not to enjoy. Three of us were not required to make up either the Epic or St Agnes crew so we sat in the sunshine, coffee and a sausage sandwich early on, more coffee midday and then a pasty and a pint before once again rowing back.
Mylor Yacht Club were happy, we were happy, and tired, so a great day was had by all.

The evening was spent ‘ironing out’ the kinks by taking Paddy for his walk, a light dinner and more reading. I am ahead of my Goodreads target and the books have rarely had less than 400 pages, this apparently is good for my cognitive ability.

Todays photo, the Epic rowers having been marshalled into place.
