It Will Be Worth It ...

... but the end is not yet in sight for Hawick. The huge flood protection scheme continues - and provides a bit of colour on a grey day. And finding your way, on foot or by car, is a challenge, and sometimes you see things you never noticed before. Like this house with its glazed tower room - it must have a commanding view of all the chaos.

I went to look at the exhibition at Drumlanrig's Tower, but I was a week too soon, they were still hanging it. So I browsed the rooms that record the textile history of the town. So sad that so many skills have been lost.
