Casting a shadow

This speckled wood sat patiently on the cucumber leaf in the greenhouse enjoying the morning sunshine, casting its own shadow and stayed there long enough for me to get a few close ups.

I then had a dental appointment to remove a crown. It took a bit of effort to get it removed but it eventually came off and the tooth has been tidied up and a temporary crown fitted so we can check everything settles down.

After a shop to stock up I managed an hour or so in the garden and an overdue diary session with my wife as we sort out the next few weeks. Hopefully this will include a trip to Lancaster to see the family there: our grandson (now 4 and a half months old) was pictured this morning having his first taste of peanut butter as part of the acclimatisation approach. He seemed to enjoy it.
