Glittering Prize

Evening all.

Just as i was in the process of writing this and saying how i thought i'd better blip a photo of some live animals to compensate for yesterday's dead one, the cat makes that all too familiar noise.

You know the one: that slightly pleased with itself, slightly threatening, slightly possessive, low growl in the back of its throat.

Usually this is the signal in our house for us all to lift our feet up as quickly as possible, and the slowest one has to go and deal with the mess. Often it seems to be me, and tonight is no exception....

another field mouse gone to rodent heaven i'm afraid.

So i'll leave you with mostly healthy animals, although the sheep to the right of the picture was shaky and gasping for breath a bit throughout the time i was watching it, hope it isn't sickening for something or i'll wake up tomorrow morning with a cat flap blocked up with half a dead sheep.
