Who Are You? Look at Your Books.
This photo is a back-blip taken before I went to bed last evening. The DDW challenge word today was 'Favorite Book(s)'.
I browsed my bookcase (but not my Kindle) to pick out a few of my favorite books. I decided I needed to select my books in categories as I read books for different reasons and then they become my favorite in that category. When I started thinking about all the books that I have read, I realized your book selections can reveal who you are as a person.
The first book that I selected is an old torn up copy of the Moosewood Low-Fat Cookbook because I love to cook healthy foods. I have a copy of Khalil Gibran "The Prophet". The passage on Marriage was read at our wedding ceremony 38 years ago. I value my relationship with Jeff. "Driven from Distraction" by Edward Hallowell, MD, educated me about my ADD disorder a few year back and helped me to understand my brain. I also choose a novel as I love to read about people and relationships. I did not include my garden books, my fitness books, my diet books, my self-help books. These were past favorites at other times in my life.
