Saturday: Nature’s Miracles
The rain which arrived late yesterday continued all night and for the whole of this morning, I’m not complaining :-))
Carrots “Bangor” sown just a fortnight ago - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3124059077546609028 - are germinating well along with the radish sown at same time as a “sacrificial crop” but I have to evict slugs every morning, I’ve now covered the top of the plant pot with an old net curtain as protection and hope this foils the slugs :-(
Went into veg patch near the greenhouse to move my spare pots of “Mr. Curtis’s 7 star perennial Broccoli” (bottom of today’s Blip) and noticed last year’s Runner beans had grown up into the damson tree and another runner bean plant with had been accidentally covered by a tray was also growing - white stems … and this year’s Scarlet Emperor Runner Beans top right. I must remember to leave these plants in the ground … I dug some of them up, repotted them but they died during the drought :-((
I’m so thankful that Mother Nature is a much better gardener than I am! :-))
Happy Saturday Night everyone …
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
