Above The Clouds

Windy day, the purple martins made the most of it, they were very chatty and were constantly leaving their house to circle and glide. I thought maybe it would help me get a shot as they drifted around, but no. I'm either too inexperienced or they were too quick.

I liked when they banked overhead and were almost glowing in the sun. As the sun lowered, the clouds became pink beneath a clear blue sky and I waited for a shot of the birds high in the air. I liked that there was a little movement in the shot. Too static and they might drop out of the sky.
