Home again

We left the environs of Carlisle just after nine this morning and were soon back on the M6 where conditions quickly worsened with heavy spray and difficult visibility.

Things improved as we approached Glasgow and skirting the city and crossing the Clyde on the Erskine Bridge we were back in familiar territory and in much better weather conditions. We stopped at the Auchentullich Farm Shop up beside Loch Lomond to buy a few things for lunch, then pulled in to Firkin Point where we picnicked at a table beside the loch - this is my Blip today, Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond.

We were home soon after 2.30 - the cats seemed, as usual, quite unconcerned about our absence and return!  Good to be back, but a lovely family holiday to remember and more than 600 photographs to go through!
