Captain Heron

Took a long Kayak after work in the most idyllic conditions, in all the time I've worked in Schull I've not kayaked out from the harbour before. The familiar looked so different from low down on the water, I could get close to all my heron friends! My chosen blip made me smile, whose the boss I wonder? The lovely thing about being on the water is that you can pull into small coves inaccessible from the land and stretch the legs. It was so beautiful I kept going as far as Colla Pier, it would have been a short hop from there to Long Island but I decided to save that for another day!
