Goodbye floral wallpaper (and fireplace)

Very satisfying day today (tiring, but satisfying).  We finally stripped the wallpaper in the living room - and it was super easy!  Apart from the odd bit, most of it just peeled off in one long satisfying sheet, leaving nothing behind (other than these paint stripes we discovered behind it - obviously added to make the edges stick better).  We then decided to carry on and make a whole load more work for ourselves by removing the fireplace surround and the hearth - that was harder work!  The room feels even bigger now - which is good as we're going to be painting it a dark indigo :)

It was the perfect day to be inside - sooo grim out there!  Constant heavy rain all day.
