Raw dried Jujube

John was browsing the Crowd Farming site some weeks ago and found this Jujube, a different looking and tasting dried fruit, possibly a taste between a date, prune and something else. This is not like anything we have come across before.

Finca Casa Cañada produce this fruit organically in an area bordering the provinces of Cuenca and Valencia. My first tasting was one of disappointment, gradually this is changing and now find it quite more ish. Extra shows the strange looking fruit when cut in half. Along with the dried fruit is a small jar of Jujube paste, I will need to think about how to use this.
